The Evaluation Support Group

The Evaluation Support Group is an affiliation of practicing program evaluators who are interested in improving the evaluation capacity of schools, health care providers, social service agencies and other human service organizations. Our staff and associates have years of practical experience in the design and implementation of program evaluation projects ranging from small agency programs to large multi-site, multi-year projects.

The context for our approach to evaluation is results-based accountability. Over the last decade, program funders increasingly have stressed the need for programs, services and interventions to provide evidence that their efforts lead to positive outcomes for participants. The need to produce evidence about program outcomes requires that providers develop program evaluation strategies. Unfortunately, many providers are not equipped to do the activities necessary to produce quality evaluation. This is where our group hopes to help.
